What is Easy English?
Easy English is more accessible for people who have difficulty reading and understanding written information. It uses:
- clear, simple language
- one idea per sentence
- short sentences
- direct language (readers are addressed as 'you')
- pictures, logos or photographs to add meaning to the text
- minimal punctuation.
