Melbourne Magistrate’s Court has imposed an injunction restraining unlicensed car dealer Kerrigan Fellows from advertising dozens of cars on the websites carsales.com.au and usacars.com.au.
The injunction also restrains Mr Fellows from trading in motor cars unless licensed to do so under the Motor Car Traders Act 1986.
The Director of Consumer Affairs Victoria successfully applied for an injunction against Mr Fellows after becoming aware that he had advertised 38 cars for sale on usacars.com.au, and 20 on carsales.com.au, in 2010-2011, in contravention of the Motor Car Traders Act 1986.
The court also ordered Mr Fellows to pay costs of $900.
