Victorians who have been involved in domestic building are being encouraged to share their views, to help shape reforms to a key part of Victoria’s domestic building dispute resolution framework.

Consumer Affairs Victoria is undertaking a review of the Domestic Building Legal Service (DBLS) and is seeking your views about how the current service is working and how it can be updated to continue to meet the needs of consumers.

You can provide your input to the DBLS review via Engage Victoria, with responses open until 29 May 2024.

The DBLS is a free service for eligible home owners who need help resolving a building dispute. Funded by the Victorian Government and run by not-for-profit Justice Connect, the service provides vital legal support for consumers via pro bono referrals, advice and education.

The review of the DBLS forms part of Consumer Affairs Victoria’s Funded Services Program Reviews, which includes reviews of renter and financial counselling services.
