Consumer Affairs Victoria has filed criminal charges against licensed estate agent, Daniela Vella, 52, of Essendon West, for allegedly misusing client trust account funds from August to October 2020.
We allege that Ms Vella, who was the principal agent at Harrison Parker Real Estate in Greenvale, committed multiple breaches of the Estate Agents Act by:
- on 6 occasions, causing a deficiency in the Harrison Parker Real Estate trust account
- on 67 occasions, wrongfully converting the funds, totalling about $230,000, for her own use.
We also allege that on 7 occasions, Harrison Parker Real Estate failed to pay rental income, totalling about $36,000, to the residential property providers whose properties Ms Vella managed.
This matter is listed for a committal mention on 7 February 2025 at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court.
